Comic Books: The Weekly Pull (Nov. 7th, 2009)

posted in comic books on

This post is late. This post is beyond late. In fact, I'm actually writing it on a Tuesday and back dating it for Saturday just so I don't mess up my naming convention. To add a little more fuel on the lateness fire, this post consists of comics for last week and the week prior. I spent some time in New Jersey recently, and it forced me to put my mail on hold ...

Ok. I'm back, but notice the date change. These reviews are now going to be posted on Saturday. A little later than I would like, but I'm trying out Midtown Comics, and their deliveries don't show up until Saturday. Why Midtown Comics? Normally I'd drop a blog review of the week's comic book pulls on the following day of their release, but since new books came out on a Thursday due to the Labor Day holiday, I'm all about punctuality. Imagine that. This was another light week however... so don't expect the Magna Carta

To the pull list...

Save Superman's House

posted in comic books on

Fiction and comic book writer Brad Meltzer has gotten the ball rolling on a charity to help preserve the house where the idea of Superman was created. Get with the program:

The house where Google was created is saved. The farm where Hewlett Packard was founded is preserved. And Richard Nixon's house is a museum. But the house where Superman - one of the world's most recognized heroes - was created? It's a wreck ...
