Back in the day I used to run with a few paranormal investigators in South Jersey. New Jersey Paranormal Investigations (NJPI) was founded and operated by Norman Williams - paranormal investigator and student of the occult. The results of these investigations eventually showed up on the Mad Ghoul web site - even though some of them happened before the web site's creation.

Back in those days, we didn't have video upload sites; and even once YouTube was started, I refrained from putting anything online in such a community. I kept in on my web site with the JW FLV Player.

Lately though, I've grown very fond of Vimeo, which is probably the best video upload site out there. I recently used it to upload video clips of my new house, and decided that it would be a good place to upload the small clips from one of our paranormal investigations.

This investigation was at the Basking Ridge Castle in Basking Ridge, New Jersey - courtesy of financial consultant Steven Feldstein. In the first video, Debbie (one of the investigators) is shown standing in a dark cold room with people around marveling at the floating balls of light at her feet. Even Steven - skeptical of the prospects that his house was really haunted - was a bit in awe. He described it as looking like "snow floating up from the ground."

In the second video, Debbie attempts to communicate with the lights by asking simple, slightly varied questions of an emotional nature.

These clips are very short, and unfortunately they came from a time when camcorders recorded to VHS. I had to take the VHS tape and run in through a VHS player hooked up to my computer to grab the video clips. The quality isn't the greatest, but the grainy nature of the video brings back some nostalgia from a period of my life that was very, very adventurous.
