Why Marvel and DC insist on having a huge chunk of titles dropping on the same week I'll never know. Last week was a nightmare for the wallet, while this week, I felt like an idiot walking up to the counter with a single book - an annual. If that annual hadn't come out, I would have been leaving empty-handed. Seriously guys, spread your titles out a little more. It'll actually increase sales as people are able to budget more in their week.

• Supergirl Annual: Writer Sterling Gates actually gives us some stories with meaning in the overall Superman multi-title event arc. DC has usually been pretty good with producing Annuals that are at least a little above just the usual filler, but this one had the origin and follow-up of Lucy Lane running around as Superwoman. This is going to lead up to a pretty big storyline for Supergirl, Lana and the Lanes... No. That is not a music group.

Yep... That's it. I am reading the hardcover edition of Final Crisis, so expect an in-depth exploration in the very near future.
