Attack of the Orange

I was always relatively happy with the web design of my site. Despite the large amount of orange (my favorite color), it didn't seem to overpower the viewer, as the content was always placed in a semi-transparent white div element. While the expanded content of the site definitely made the layout a little obsolete, the color scheme was always something of which I was fond. The browns nicely balanced out the oranges, and gave it a bit of an Autumn feel.
After lengthy discussions with Ken Ho - a fellow co-worker at Travel Tribe - I decided to give the current scheme a shot and simply adjust the layout. Ken liked my previous site design and thought that most of the items should remain the same. I did some tweaking - and experimenting - and came up with the below rough draft:
This was mocked up in Adobe Fireworks, so please excuse the line spacing. Obviously with the finalized HTML and CSS, the line spacing and padding around the inline elements will allow for more readable content.
I like the way this is heading, regardless of anybody's adversion to orange. My only question mark lies with the font color, as the brown seems to blend together. However, this may be a result of the line spacing and not necessarily the color itself.
