To be honest, I was more confused at the reactions to Inception than the actual movie. People were calling it everything from mind-blowing to perplexing. Many people expressed needing to see it a second time, while others were nitpicking at every word and imagery attempting to construct highly complex theories base on semantics, visual scenes and coincidence.
Inception was nothing more than a great heist movie with an open ending. Nothing more. Nothing less. It wasn't some highly devised movie with social commentary or philosophical underpinnings questioning the very nature of reality. It was a movie about thieves hired to plant an item rather than steal it. It just happened to have the world of dreams as its stage.
